I'm Tim Gilbert, a freshman journalism major at Penn State. I write for our student newspaper, The Daily Collegian, and currently cover our women's basketball team and men's golf team. I realized that writing about sports was probably my best career path when I discovered that I wasn't even almost good enough to play any of them. Sports writing is a great passion of mine, but baseball is my one true love. I don't know many other kids from Philadelphia who can name the entire Oakland Athletics starting lineup besides myself. One day, I hope to cover professional baseball or work for a Major League Baseball team.
