Ryan Rainey

As a student of journalism and Latin American studies at the University of Wisconsin--Madison, I'm studying the rise of countries like Brazil and Mexico with a focus on how their prominence affects the United States entire world. Beyond that, however, I'm a political junkie who has followed politics since watching a debate between Bob Dole and Bill Clinton with my dad in 1996. Currently, I'm the Multimedia Editor at The Badger Herald--the nation's largest independent student newspaper. Beginning in January I will be the Herald's Managing Editor. You can expect to read my insight on higher education policy and the status of national and international politics from the perspective of a college student in the Midwest.
