Mike Dafter

I am a senior majoring in continental philosophy—a major I created against the backdrop of a primarily analytical philosophy department—at UCLA. Before transferring to UCLA I played basketball at Shasta college: an experience which was both self-revolutionary and transformative. Now as I face graduation, I hope to continue on with my philosophical training, go on to receive a Ph.D. in philosophy, while also sharpening my journalistic skills and love for creative fiction. Truth is a word which already implies a perspective: and while I have no claim to it whatsoever, I hope to bring philosophical rigor to contemporary problems in the public forum.

After all, we all have a responsibility to vote, but we also have a responsibility to send to office the candidate we feel will do the best job.
