My name is Maria Peeples and I am originally from the state of Wisconsin. I moved to the West Coast in August to begin my college education at the University of San Francisco, where I am a politics major and gender and sexualities studies minor. In addition to writing, I am passionate about reproductive justice, mobilizing voters and slam poetry. After graduation, I hope to stay involved in issue-based politics securing rights for women, the queer community and other marginalized groups of people. I believe strongly in the power of our voices speaking or writing collectively for progress.
