Maeve Wall

My name is Maeve Wall. I’m a junior English major at Northwestern University. I’m passionate about issues of social justice and worked in a low-income pre-school last year with Jumpstart for Young Children and then taught this summer at an independent school in East Harlem, New York. I’m from Columbus, Ohio and am proud of my Midwest heritage, on an endless mission to convince the world that Columbus is “cool” and devoid of tractors and Amish carriages. On campus, I’m a freshman orientation Peer Adviser, former Alternative Student Breaks leader, and Vice President of Membership of my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. I’m also a member of the Brady Scholars Program for Ethics and Civic Life. I made my debut as a columnist for the "Daily Northwestern" earlier this year and have loved every minute of it- my focus when writing tends to be on appreciating things that often get overlooked in the busy yet exhilarating lives of college students.
