Jordan Plahn

I’m a proud sophomore Engineering Science and Mechanics major at Virginia Tech. Though I enjoy the technical sides of engineering, I also love writing, reading, and immersing myself in current events. I have never spent long in one place: born in Houston, I spent 12 years living in Thailand, Egypt, and Scotland. I love traveling and hope to continue doing so throughout my life. I hate having free time so I make sure to stay involved. Apart from writing, I’m involved with research that attempts to find ways of delivering drugs more effectively to tumors and inflammations in the body. I also write for the Collegiate Times at Virginia Tech, travel to Uganda with Engineers without Borders, and try to survive my engineering classes.
