I'm a sophomore at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, focusing on digital journalism. I've written for The State Press, The Cronkite Journal and I currently write for The Downtown Devil. Despite the unbearable heat, I love living in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. I enjoy running, Indian food and the Cleveland Browns, all of which would make most people nauseous.

I admit that e-readers are a good thing for society. They could improve education throughout the world, save entire forests and take up less space in our carry-ons. But e-readers are to books what synthesizers are to pianos; despite their versatility, they lack an appealing, organic quality.
Summer Letdowns

A week ago, I was determined to have a productive summer. I had books to read, stories to report, classes to take and even a website to build. So far, I have watched ESPN and eaten several pieces of ice cream cake. For me, and for many college students, summer is an unusual mix of relaxation and disappointment.
Apple Tracking Not a Big Deal

So Apple iPhones track users’ geographic location every time they use the phone? Who cares? Unless I’m running from the law and Steve Jobs is the sheriff, my iPhone is not going to give away any confidential information. Everybody already knows where I go anyway, thanks to Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare and my excessive reliance on routine.
