Devin Weakland

I’m a junior at Penn State double-majoring in print journalism and marketing with a minor in international business. I grew up in the small, rural town of Cresson, Pa., but I love the city life. Traveling is a major hobby of mine. I find it fascinating to visit foreign places and to immerse myself in completely different cultures. I studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and took classes on the economics of European integration. This experience confirmed my want to work abroad as a reporter some day, hopefully covering international business. In my spare time, I enjoy reporting on the State College music scene for a local music blog called Blue Robot. Music is another passion of mine, so combing this interest with my writing skills is a lot of fun for me. I am also an aspiring photographer and a coffee connoisseur.
