A collection of this week’s most downloaded tracks across college campuses
1. Drake-”Dreams Money Can Buy”-Take Care
Drake recently leaked this track and it’s been spreading like wildfire across indie-blogs. The sophomore album was rumored by Birdman to drop on September 13, 2011. The track samples Jai Paul‘s “BTSTU,” a post-dubstep artist who I posted on On The Dwnld several weeks ago.
2. Black Lips-”New Direction”-Arabia Mountain

Garage-rockers, Black Lips, leaked yet another track from their highly-anticipated Arabia Mountain album, which is partially produced by the talented Mark Ronson. The upcoming album is set to release on June 7th.
3. Nero ft. Sub Focus-”Promises”

The UK drum & bass/dubstep duo recently teamed up with drum & bass producer Sub Focus to release this fire track, which has been spreading across the music blogs.
4. Two Door Cinema Club-”What You Know (Religion Remix)

Religion is an electro-house duo from Los Angeles, they have a slew of remixes released through Dim Mak and Noiseporn records. They have a full length studio album in the works to be released sometime later this summer.
5. jj-”No One Can Touch Us Tonight”

jj is an electronic-folk duo from Sweden signed to famed US indie label Secretly Canadian. They recently released two tracks (“No one can touch us tonight” and “ice”).
6. Oh Land-”Sun of a Gun (Jacob Plant Remix)

Jacob Plant is a Dubstep/electro artist from southeast London. At the young age of 19 he has already released a full length album called Basslines and many other remixes.
7. Oddisee-”I’m From PG”-Odd Seasons

Based out of Washington DC, the Sudanese rapper, Oddisee has worked with the likes of Talib Kweli and DJ Jazzy Jeff. His brushes with these big name rappers is reflected in his unique take on hip-hop.
8. Housse De Racket-”Roman”-Kitsuné Maison Compiation 11

The popular Kitsuné Maison Compilation was dropped a few days ago, marking the 11th release. This compilation specifically focuses on Indie-Dance and this track by Housse De Racket was used to promote the compilation.
9. I Love Monsters-”Spine (RAC Maury Mix)”

The Remix Artist Collective (RAC) dropped this track across a few blogs. As always, their remixes never fail to impress.
10. Heartrevolution-”ID (Investigation Discovery)”

Heartsrevolution is a NY based duo who produce indie-electro-pop. They have a sophomore album titled Sex, which is set to release sometime this year.
11. Javelin-”Contact High (Architecture in Helsinki Cover)”

“Contact High” by Architecture in Helsinki has been the topic of numerous remixes. Last month I posted a remix of “Contact High” by indie-electronic group Clock Opera.
12. Foster the People-”Waste”
Foster the People are set to release their first studio-length album today on May 23rd. The indie-rock band is relatively new, having only released a self-titled EP so far.
